I am profoundly grateful to the Taku River Tlingit First Nation, on whose land I live, practice, and work. This land sustains my body, nourishes the communities of which I am a part, and serves as a deep source of inspiration for the work I create. I honour the Taku River Tlingit for their stewardship of this territory and acknowledge the rich history, knowledge, and culture that continue to shape and sustain it.

My writing and creative work have been made possible in part through generous support from:

  • Access Copyright Foundation

  • British Columbia Arts Council

  • Canada Council for the Arts

I gratefully acknowledge the contribution of the Access Copyright Foundation through a 2025 Marian Hebb Research Grant and a 2025 Professional Development Grant. Their support enabled me to dedicate time to research an essay collection currently in development, as well as to benefit from the invaluable guidance of a mentorship with a Canadian author.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Canada Council for the Arts for the support they have provided through a 2025 Explore and Create–Research and Creation Grant and a 2024 Professional Development for Artists Grant. These opportunities allowed me both the time to work on my essay collection and the chance to develop my craft with the brilliant Michelle Good at Sage Hill Writing's Nonfiction Course.
